Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Dr. Lindsay Dodd pursued her chiropractic career beginning in high school in an advanced placement Allied Health class through the city’s hospital. She then continued on to Michigan State University where she attained a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Physiology. She was also very involved in intramural athletics , coordinating philanthropic activities, Chi Omega Fraternity and the pre-chiropractic club.
After graduation, she continued on to Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus to eventually graduate with honors as a Doctor of Chiropractic. While at Palmer, she was extremely active in the sacro-occipital technique (S.O.T.) club, motion palpation club, sports chiropractic club, campus guides organization, and again intramural sports. She excelled in the classroom throughout her four years and spent weekends attending seminars to ensure she was well versed in S.O.T. (including basic, cranial, sports, pediatrics and blood chemistry seminars). Activator, Flexion-Distraction, Applied Kinesiology, Gonstead, Thompson, Toggle and Diversified were a few of the other techniques studied in her curriculum and electives while at Palmer. She is also certified to provide many physiotherapies including interferential current, intersegmental traction, ultrasound, cold lasers, diathermy, heat, cryotherapy, kinesiotaping and physical rehabilitation using stretching, resistance bands, balance/coordination and strength training.
After years of schooling and interning under other doctors, Fit for Life is the perfect fit for her as she provides similar services of S.O.T. Style chiropractic, nutritional consultations, whole food and supplement recommendations, chiropractic care for pediatric and pregnancy as well as a variety of different physiotherapies and both chiropractic and soft tissue manipulations. She has also completed over a 100 hour seminar series certification with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is currently both Webster Technique Certified and a Certified ICPA doctor for pregnancy and pediatric adjusting. She is also Advanced Placement Certified in S.O.T. via SORSI instruction and certification. Fit for Life is also in the greater Naples area, which is near and dear to her heart, as she has been visiting her grandparents here annually for the past 40 years. Her husband is a Naples native and they are blessed with two wonderful, healthy children that have helped shape the doctor she is today. She is a very open and approachable person, as well as a well rounded and realistic doctor and she looks forward to the opportunity to treat YOU and your Naples community.
